Architizer Editorial Migration & Redesign In the process of consolidating Architizer's multiple entities (Marketplace, Portfolio Site, Media/News Blog) into a coherent whole that our users perceived as a single entity with a focus on the marketplace, Source, which is a workflow tool architects use to find building products and materials. This project entails a migration to Wordpress from a legacy and proprietary front-end framework, a brand refresh that is in harmony with the marketplace's aesthetic, and a radical shift in overall product strategy that recreates the image of the company with the same pieces we've always had. I was solely responsible for the strategy and design of the platform, and also managed Wordpress consultants in the site’s migration/implementation.https://architizer.com/blog/ Feature article, curated 6x6 grid of evergreen articles and "in-house" ads. Homepage bottom section gives reader a view into what the blog is composed of within each category without having to depend on an interactive header navigation, which was out of scope for this phase. Category pages with "tier 2" sub-navigation. Note that home page does not have pagination, while filter pages do. Product Guides category page is distinct from other categories. While "product guides" are effectively normal articles, we want them to appear as perhaps more formal and informative pieces. The reader's journey into them is therefore different so that they feel that they are entering a different type of content. Article page with hero image, designed as an expanded version of an article card. On scroll, rather than the header persisting, the title and social sharing icons stick in the left rail, while captions appear in the right.
